The Parish Pastoral Council meets at least 3 times a year. There is a parish annual meeting, at which the financial accounts are presented, and new members elected to the Pastoral Council.
There is a Finance Committee, as well as Buildings and Maintenance, and Health and Safety Committees.
Would you like to get involved? There are many ways of helping – flower arranging, music, reading at Mass, being an Extraordinary Minister at Mass, taking Communion to the sick and housebound, welcoming, serving at Mass, cleaning, organizing social events, SVP, prayer group, administration etcetera.
Please speak to Fr Harry if you would like to help in any way.
Our parish is totally committed to ensuring that we provide a safe place for children and vulnerable adults. Any adult, whether paid or volunteer, who works in any role where they have access to children or vulnerable adults must have obtained DBS clearance before they start. There are two safeguarding representatives, whose contact details are available in the church.
Message from the Diocesan Safeguarding Office
I don’t have to tell you that we are undergoing a national crisis at the moment which, as well as bringing all the problems of the current pandemic, also creates increased safeguarding risk in many areas. These include domestic abuse, mental health issues, the vulnerable being scammed, to mention but a few.
Safeguarding Coordinator, Diocese of Plymouth.
